The raw data
A method is only checkable if the rows behind it can be looked at, so the rows are available. This page is the specification of what you get: the files, the fields, the units, the gaps, and the conditions.

What the export contains
Two files, both plain CSV, UTF-8, comma separated, one header row. Timestamps are UTC — the broker-server offset is already removed, which is the single most important thing to know about this data, because a terminal stamps every tick with its own server's clock and one broker in this set runs three hours from UTC.
| Field | Unit | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| broker | key | Our short key for the broker, matching the pages on this site |
| account_type | text | The account the series was collected on. Never mixed with another type |
| symbol | text | The broker's own symbol name, as the platform reports it |
| hour_utc | ISO 8601 | Start of the hour the aggregate covers, UTC |
| samples | count | How many raw observations the hour holds. A thin hour is visible rather than smoothed over |
| spread_mean / min / max | pips | Converted at the symbol's own scale. Zero is a real value on a commission account |
| flagged | 0 or 1 | Rows excluded from published figures, kept in the file on purpose |
| order_requested / filled | price | In the order file: what we asked for and what we got |
| slippage | pips, signed | Positive is worse for the trader. The sign is from the trader's side |
| status | text | The broker's own status, or our no answer where no execution event arrived in the window |
What it does not contain
- No account identifiersno login, no account number, no server name
- No interpolationa missing hour is missing from the file, not filled in
- No metals, indices or crypto conversionscollected, but no settled pip convention, so not converted
- No deleted rowsbad readings are flagged and shipped flagged; nothing is quietly dropped
Conditions, and how to ask
Use it for anything, including commercially, on two conditions: carry the window with the numbers, and say where they came from. If you publish an analysis that contradicts ours, tell us — a contradiction we cannot answer is a fault in our rig and we would rather hear it from you than not at all. We do not ask for money and we do not ask you to agree with us.
The rig is still building coverage for the first measured release, so there is nothing honest to hand over yet — the figures on this preview are layout placeholders, and an export of placeholders would be worse than no export. What exists today is the raw tick store itself, which we will cut into the files described above as soon as a window passes the audit. Write to desk@costcheckfxen.com if you want to be told when that happens.
The data describes our own accounts in a stated past window. It is not advice, not a quote and not a prediction, and you can lose money trading.
